What is up to all of those United States Residents?! p.s. sorry if you're on my list but not a US resident or you live in another country, greetings to you too.
I was missing the States a lot this week, but a Navy Lawyer (she is literally a lawyer for the Mexican Navy. I mean, they say armada but its the same thing) invited me over to her house to get to know her (she is inactive in the church but through God's hand, we found her). Well, I guess getting to know her was treating us to Burger King and cake, followed by her presenting her two unbaptized nephews, Fani and Elias, to us (who have a TON of gains to get baptized).
Martha and Homberto went to church again, but this time Homberto was smiling!!! I guess he is really starting to warm up to the church. I'm just ready to throw them in the water right now. They are awesome.
A less active member moved into our ward last week and asked us to visit her and her family. Her husband and daughter aren't baptized but practically begged us to baptize them in the first lesson. They also came to church this week. So things are going well over here.
Besides all of them, there are so many other awesome people we have found and are teaching. I can't believe how much this area has changed since we arrived just 5 weeks ago.
I had the dopest matrix moment ever this week. We were just strollin down the street like a couple of villans when I saw this white dog laying down on the sidewalk. Well, there is no sidewalk, so he was just on the side of the road. He saw me and didn't really do anything, so I kept walking when he jumped up out of nowhere and tried to bite me but I have ninja reflexes thanks to the Holy Ghost and did like a sick 360 gainer out of his reach. Okay I didn't do the gainer part cause I am scared of doing flips but I totally whipped him with my agility and then clonked him in the nose with my bag and he left crying like a pup. Score: 1 Wilson, 0 dog.
Valentine's day kinda sucked too. WAY too much PDA in the streets.
I don't remember what day but we were over in the middle of nowhere, on nothing street and our appointment fell through. We still had 20 minutes till our lunch but I felt like we should go early and seeing as how I'm senior companion, I obligated my companion to follow me. Just kidding I didn't force him. So we got on the bus for Topilejo and rode down the mountain like normal, and got to the bus stop for the lunch, and hopped off (I'm a cool kid and I hop off the bus before it stops 😎) and it was all normal, like any other day, when this young lady just bursts into tears in front of me. She explained that she was a member and was waiting for her husband and 2 young kids to meet her, who were coming from Topilejo, and that they hadn't arrived for a long time so she started to panic. But when she saw the Topilejo bus arrive and watches us hop off she just started sobbing cause she felt like God was answering her prayers and it was just an awesome experience. We sat down on the curb with her until her family arrived and off they went. It's cool being a missionary.
I had my 3rd major earthquake experience this week too. I was teaching a lesson as I sat on a wierd short concrete wall, when my legs started shaking as if I were on a swing. Then the super scary earthquake sound came and everything started moving. Panic struck and everyone was crying like last time but it wasn't even that strong of a quake. Well, it was but not like the one in September. it was cool I guess but now I live with a constant fear of the stupid earthquake alarm. that thing is scary to hear now cause its just related to destruction and fear. Good times in the field!!!!! I guess this one was like 7.5 and it was from Oaxaca. please dont say oh ashaka, its pronounced wah ha ka hahahaha.
