I'm freakin old, when I left on my mission I was 18, and now I'm 20??? So much time has gone by!
This week was great! We had an amazing week with a lot of people who responded to the Gospel. My favorites were Martha and Humbert. Humbert is kinda stiff necked, he is stubborn so he doesn't really accept us too well, but his wife Martha is like pure gold that fell from the sky. She is a bit older, but not too old. She lived an action packed life, but felt like something was always missing. So she went to her Catholic church and had a lot of doubts on what to do, and how to get closer to God. So she prayed to him and found us the next day! Well, I mean, we found her. Well, actually, my companion doesn't contact so I found her and she liked begged us to visit her. We showed up and it was like peanut butter and jelly on a turtle. She just ate up everything we taught and she showed up at church! She is so determined and has completed every single commitment to the details. She deserves this Gospel so much, and it makes me so happy that she finally found it.
Another family is Cristina and Alejandra and Ana. I mentioned them last week but this week they all showed up to church at 8 in the morning after getting back from a vacation at 4 AM. That shows dedication to me. I am hoping they will progress even more. I mean, they did technically sleep the entire time from how tired they were but they showed up, that is what counts.
We also found an inactive family, but their 17 year old son has a HUGE desire to be a missionary, so I think it is awesome that God put us here to help him get out on a mission. I know it wasn't coincidence we found him. We were late one night out in our area, but I forgot a bag so we ran back to get it.. A lady passed us and said Good night to us, and we kept walking cause it was late. We ran into her AGAIN when we were going to the bus stop and she stopped us by saying "Elders". My comp kept walking but I turned around faster than a roadrunner on a roller coaster. She invited us to her house and thats how we found them. I really hope we can get him out on a mission!
This week my head still hurts cause a sister invited us over to eat and her doorway was so low I slammed my forehead into it and it hurt so bad.
Other than that, nothing crazy happened this week. It was a chill week but filled with good experiences. Time is flying by!
My Zone Leaders bought me a cake today to celebr8 the Bday. Chido right? We are gonna go right now to buy a ton of tacos and pizza and other unhealthy food items to just go nuts in the house and eat till we pass out.
